PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will lead the analytics team and play a key lead role in delivering client consulting and analytics project. You will be responsible for analytical services across the credit life cycle.

Working with our advisors, you will jointly be responsible for meeting the client’s expectations on projects in relation to results, quality, budgets and timelines.

Typical assignments will involve applying advanced analytical techniques to extract maximum value out of data, constructing data driven strategies, providing insights and presentation of results with key recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analytical team leadership and management.
  • Analytical team mentorship, guidance and development.
  • Data processing, manipulation and validation.
  • Performance and exclusion analysis.
  • Action-effect analysis.
  • Feature engineering.
  • Predictive model development.
  • Optimisation modelling.
  • Model validation and testing.
  • Implementation and monitoring.
  • Credit risk strategy development.
  • Investigative analytics.
  • Financial and profit modelling.
  • Delivery of analytical solutions to our clients.
  • Provide day-to-day analytical assistance across multiple clients and projects.
  • Analyse reports and strategy results.
  • Compile professional consulting reports and presentations for delivery to clients.
  • Lead and support new product innovation within the analytics team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A numerical degree in statistics, operational research, computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years in an analytics leadership role.
  • At least 5 years advance analytics experience within credit risk management.
  • Experience in the consulting industry would be an advantage.
  • The position is largely remote but will require some onsite team collaboration and travel to client sites in South Africa and possibly abroad.

  • A very good working knowledge of new tools and techniques within predictive modelling.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
